    Centralized Power Management for Security and Public Service PoE Applications
    To fulfill the needs of the high power consumption of PoE network applications, the FGSW-2624HPS / FGSW-2624HPS4 features the standard IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) that combines up to 30 watts of power output and data per port over one cat5E/6 Ethernet cable. It is designed specifically to meet the demand of the high power consumption of network PDs (powered devices) such as IR, PTZ, speed dome cameras; and even box-type IP cameras with built-in fan and heater. Compliant with both 802.3at and 802.3af standards, the series allows more flexibility in power requirement for a variety of PDs, making installation costs affordable.

     

    Intelligent LED Indicator for Real-time PoE Usage
    The FGSW-2624HPS / FGSW-2624HPS4 helps users to monitor the current status of PoE power usage easily and efficiently with its advanced LED indication. Called “PoE Power Usage” found on the front panel of the FGSW-2624HPS / FGSW-2624HPS4 Fast Ethernet PoE+ Switch, it has four orange LEDs indicating the range of the current PoE power usage.

     

    Robust Layer 2 Features
    The FGSW-2624HPS / FGSW-2624HPS4 can be programmed for advanced switch management functions such as dynamic port link aggregation (LACP), Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), IGMP Snooping v1, v2, bandwidth control and L2/L4 security control. The FGSW-2624HPS / FGSW-2624HPS4 provides IEEE 802.1Q tagged VLAN, port-based VLAN and MTU VLAN. The VLAN groups allowed will be maximally up to 32. Via aggregation of supporting ports, the FGSW-2624HPS / FGSW-2624HPS4 allows the operation of a high-speed trunk combining multiple ports and supports fail-over as well.

    To provide enhanced network management with cost saving benefit to customers, PLANET has released a new version of the FNSW-2400PS, the Layer 2 Web Smart Switch with PoE injector function. The FNSW-2400PS is equipped with 24 Fast Ethernet ports integrated with PoE injector function. With 125-watt PoE power budget, it provides a compact, affordable, safe and reliable power solution for small to medium enterprises.

    IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet Support
    The PoE in-line power following the IEEE 802.3af standard makes the FNSW-2400PS able to deliver power to 24 PoE compliant devices at the distance up to 100 meters through the 4-pair Cat 5/5e UTP wire. It optimizes the installation and safe power management of network devices such as wireless access points (AP), Voice over IP(VoIP) phones and IP surveillance cameras. With more efficient switching power supply, the efficiency of the FNSW-2400PS would be much better than four linear power adapters in the long run and offer customers the key benefit – energy saving.

    Easy Cabling Installation
    The Power over Ethernet technology enables the Ethernet wire to carry both data and power. Thus, the FNSW-2400PS reduces the need for cable installation and eliminates the need for extension cords or electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling or any unreachable place. In all, it lowers the installation costs and simplifies the deployment effort.

    Friendly Web-based Management
    For efficient management, the FNSW-2400PS is equipped with remote Web interface. It can be programmed for advanced switch management functions such as port configuration, VLAN, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP), IGMP Snooping, port trunk, QoS, bandwidth control, and MAC address / TCP & UDP filter. The FNSW-2400PS provides port-based / IEEE 802.1Q / MTU VLAN (port based / IEEE 802.1Q VLAN including overlapping). The VLAN groups allow the FNSW-2400PS to have a maximum of up to 24 port-based VLAN groups or up to 32 IEEE 802.1Q VLAN groups. On the other hand, the MTU VLAN divides port 1 to port 24 as separate LAN group. Via supporting port trunking, the FNSW-2400PS allows the operation of a high-speed trunk to combine multiple ports. The FNSW-2400PS also provides two groups of up to 4-Port 10/ 100Base-TX trunk support with up to 800Mbps bandwidth per trunk group.

With its 5.6Gbps high-performance switch architecture and 125-watt PoE power budget, the recorded video files from the 8 PoE IP cameras can be powered by the FGSD-1008HPS and saved in the 8-channel NVR systems or surveillance software to perform comprehensive security monitoring. For instance, one FGSD-1008HPS can be combined with one 8-channel NVR and 8 PoE IP cameras as a kit for the administrators to centrally and efficiently manage the surveillance system in the local LAN and the remote site via Internet.

     

    Intelligent LED Indicator for Real-time PoE Usage
    The FGSD-1008HPS helps users to monitor the current status of PoE power usage easily and efficiently by its advanced LED indication. Called “PoE Power Usage”, the front panel of the FGSD-1008HPS Fast Ethernet PoE+ Switch has four orange LEDs indicating 30W, 60W, 90W and 120W of PoE power usage.

     

    Robust Layer 2 Features
    The FGSD-1008HPS can be programmed for advanced switch management functions such as dynamic port link aggregation (LACP), Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), IGMP Snooping v1, v2, bandwidth control and L2/L4 security control. The FGSD-1008HPS provides IEEE 802.1Q tagged VLAN, port-based VLAN and MTU VLAN. The VLAN groups allowed will be maximally up to 30. Via aggregation of supporting ports, the FGSD-1008HPS allows the operation of a high-speed trunk combining multiple ports and supports fail-over as well.

     

    Flexible and Extendable Uplink Solution
    The FGSD-1008HPS provides 2 extra Gigabit TP/SFP combo interfaces supporting 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 copper to connect with surveillance network devices such as NVR, Video Streaming Server or NAS to facilitate surveillance management. Or through these fiber SFP slots, it can also connect with the 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) fiber transceiver to uplink to backbone switch and monitoring center in long distance. The distance can be extended from 550m to 2km (multi-mode fiber), even going up to above 10/20/30/40/50/60/70/120 kilometers (single-mode fiber or WDM fiber).     The FSD-624SF provides four 100Base-FX POF Fast Ethernet ports and two Gigabit Ethernet ports (one 1000Base-T port and one Gigabit mini-GBIC interface). Its fiber-optic interface is the form factor of SMI (Small Multimedia Interface), one kind of POF (Plastic Optic Fiber) interface that offers high-speed data transmission at a low cost. The two Gigabit ports either can be 1000Base-T for 10/100/1000Mbps or 1000Base-SX/LX through SFP (Small Factor Pluggable) interface. The transmission distance can be extended from 100 meters (TP), 550 meters (Multi-mode fiber), up to 10, 20 kilometers, max. 120 kilometers (Single-mode fiber).

    IPTV, VOD and Multicast Services
    The FSD-624SF is equipped with non-blocking 4.8Gbps backplane, greatly simplifying the tasks of upgrading your LAN for catering to increasing bandwidth demands. To manage the switch efficiently, the FSD-624SF is equipped with Web interface for remote management. The FSD-624SF can be programmed for advanced switch management functions such as port configuration, port-based / IEEE 802.1Q / MTU VLAN, port mirroring, QoS, bandwidth control, broadcast storm control, MAC address / TCP & UDP filter and IGMP Snooping v1/v2. For VLAN features. Provided by the FSD-624SF, the VLAN groups allowed will be maximally up to 6 for port-based VLAN or 32 for IEEE 802.1Q VLAN. The MTU VLAN feature allows the administrator to assign per port as separate LAN group and only can access the public port G1 or public port G1/G2.

    Low-Cost and High-Speed Data Transmission
    The 4 100Base-FX POF fiber interfaces support 100Mbps full-duplex operation mode (auto negotiation or force mode option). The SMI path cord meets the IEEE 1394b specification that can transmit data at S200 (250Mbps) speed for 50 meters. With its auto-negotiation capability, the 1000Base-T RJ-45 port of Web Smart Switch can be configured to speeds of 10/20Mbps or 100/200Mbps via Fast Ethernet, and 1000/2000Mbps via Gigabit Ethernet automatically. In addition, the FSD-624SF is equipped with the MDI / MDI-X auto detection for easy plug and play connection, regardless of cabling types in straight through or crossover.
